Main folder:  lastname_firstname:  This is the folder that will contain all your folders and files for Projects 1, 2, and 3.

Project folder:  lastname_firstname_project1:  Within this folder, you will be putting seven individual audio files (5 labtime audio files and two audio files for the graded Commercial and the Tongue Twisters.

Here are the titles for the audio files:

  21   Note:  Classes return from Mardi Gras Wednesday at 12 noon.  Give evals back/Test (Ash Wednesday) (Chapters 6, "Electronic Editing," 9, "More About the Computer in Radio Production, and 10, "Achieving an Effect")Commercial writing and editing exercises, based on principles in Chapter 12, MRP /  Assignments1 (Worth 20 points):  Have in my digital drop box and my email backup on  Thursday evening at 6pm:  a one page treatment of what you'll be doing for Project 2...  describing the product you've decided on, who your target consumer is, and what commercial appeal you'll be using.  Justify your decision and include info on how you'll accomplish that with script and music and/or sound effects and voice talent.  (Note:  You have a choice of being the talent yourself or using one of your classmate in this course as talent). To prepare,  Re-read the section in Chapter 12 dealing with the commercial appeals:  fulfillment, authority, bandwagon effect, fear of rejection, sexual success, reinforcement of listener's ego, prestige, value and quality, other emotional triggers.  Select one or a combination of the appeals.  I'll look at those, give you feedback.  Look for it over the weekend./Assignment2 (Worth up to 20 pts):  Based on your feedback, hand in a completed script, according to notes on style that we've already gone over in class.
